Burroughs Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. has been well known in Savannah since my Grandfather, Clyde Burroughs, founded the company in 1946. He Started out by himself in a small truck until hiring a few employees and moved into a building on 35th Street. When my father, Ron Burroughs, returned to Savannah after serving in Vietnam in the U.S. Marines, he took a job working for Clyde, installing and servicing HVAC equipment. My father took over Burroughs Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. in 1971 when my Grandfather retired. In the mid-80’s, Ron Burroughs moved the company to 3200 Hazel Street. We became even more reputable through the years and at one time employed over 30 people from the Savannah area as Installers, Service Technicians, Sheet Metal Fabricators, and office administrators. Since then, we have downsized and currently have 12 people in the Burroughs Heating and Air Family, including our NATE certified Technicians. We still hold ourselves to the same standards and quality of work that we have always had for over 64 years in which we have proudly served Savannah.
I (Brent Burroughs), now 30 years old, started working for my Father during the summers at the age of 15, sweeping shop floors and helping with equipment installations. I worked every summer through high school and college until 2005 when I joined the U.S. Marines. After four years in the Marines and two combat tours in Iraq, I proudly returned to Burroughs Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. as the General Manager- with Stephen Roberts (Installation Manager) and Ryan Barton (Service Manager), my mother Mary Burroughs (Owner/Financial Advisor) and my Father, Ron Burroughs (Owner/Consultant). We proudly continue to serve approximately 5,000 customers in the Savannah area. Savannah Georgia is built on small personable businesses such as Burroughs Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. we, as a close family at Burroughs would like to give back to the city that has been so good to us through the many years of service to Savannah. We would also like an opportunity to grow and expand the potential that we have here and to continue to serve Savannah to the very best of our ability for many more years to come.
